Last year, I earned a half-scholarship to an acting academy in Los Angeles, where I spent six months immersed in acting, filmmaking, producing, and writing. I came home to Australia with a real fire in my belly, lit by the incredible people I met and the craft I love. I’ve been dedicated to acting since I was 11, and while I’ve chosen one of the toughest paths, I’ve never wavered in my pursuit of a career in film.

After watching one of my scenes, my dad once said, “I completely forgot it was you I was watching.”

That’s exactly why I love acting: it’s mercurial, magical, and transformative. Who else gets to step into another soul, another time, another place? It’s such an honour to explore the mess, chaos, and joy of life. To embrace the quirks, tics, and hidden depths of a character; is a drug unto itself.

After nine years of dedicated learning, I am still learning. I am still just getting started but I am so hungry and excited for what’s next. I hope those who matter, will see me.
